Shmula Search Engine Optimization
Here is something interesting — on the search term Google Job Interview, shmula.com ranks pretty high in natural search results (note: I don’t do any paid search for this blog):
- I rank #1 on MSN
- I rank #1 on Yahoo!
- I rank #7 on Google
- I rank #4 on Ask
- I rank #1 on Alta Vista
- I rank #1 on Lycos
That’s not bad for a personal blog that is 7 months old, operated by a nobody Filipino, father of 5, living in the podunk but beautiful state of Utah. Not bad at all.

Careful what you say about google and search results…. It might just get your blog removed from their indices. I speak from experience because it happened to me. I even wrote a google searcher to verify thay my eyes work too. (It’s available here)
