*****
during my mba at stanford, i interned at amazon.com in seattle. i was considering going to a startup for the summer, but i decided to go with amazon.com for the summer internship because of the great experiences i’d heard from other stanford alumni. they paid me decent, but the work experience was awesome. from day 1 i was put on a really visible project for the jewerly store where amazon.com partnered with a popular diva for her jewerly line (guess). for this project, i interacted with people at jeff bezos’ level. very cool.
after my internship, i decided to go into consulting, mainly for the salary to offset the huge student loans i’d have to repay. but, if i were to work in corporate, i would’ve accepted amazon’s offer. the offer was less than what i’m getting now working at a top consultancy, but the work experience at amazon.com is better and more interesting, in my opinion.
