Goodbye eBay, Hello Backcountry.com
I resigned from eBay and I’m happily joining Backcountry.
I covered the company in this post back in February 2007. I was intrigued by the company then and have continued my relationship with them over the years. I know and respect the management team and I am especially impressed by and attracted to their core values, which they genuinely follow:
- Never compromise in hiring.

Mark Cuban, NBA Fines Ajaxified
Here is the ajaxified timeline of Mark Cuban NBA Fine History. Enjoy.
I was amazed to learn that Mark Cuban’s cumulative fines from the NBA are currently at $1,455,000 USD. That is a lot of money that he could’ve avoided paying if he excercised some self-control.

A Pageview Alternative?
Steve Rubel declared several weeks ago that the pageview is dead.
Below is a creative image Rubel had on his post:

A few weeks later, Hitwise reported that MySpace had more pageviews than the Yahoo! homepage. That report resulted in a flurry of response, the main argument of which is that the Yahoo! homepage was ajaxified and took a big hit on pageviews. So, how can we account for the new mode of “traffic”?
