Here’s one of those case studies that questions the claim that "All Buzz is Good Buzz." Microsoft’s Ad Agency wasn’t paying attention to the details and carelessly show a A Vista Ad with an Apple iBook in it — this can be seen in your nearest Best Buy. I don’t fault Microsoft for this mistake; this is, however, a great case study on whether positive or negative Word-of-Mouth can be spun to become a positive. So, is "All Buzz Good Buzz?"
Note: I have nothing personal against Microsoft — I really do like Microsoft; I like how they are trying to be more transparent and I like their products. Again, this is not an attack on Microsoft at all — but, noting how this ad was a blunder.

Maybe Microsoft are just being honest with themselves and admitting what us Windows users are planning to upgrade to from XP? Or is this a truly subtle bit of viral marketing by Apple…
There is a phrase reserved for when people do things without any cultural sensitivity. In this case that phrase applies: “Microsoft do not have a clue”
I do not see why microsoft should care about where you install your windows. honestly do you think they even care as long as you paid them $$$ for that vista how many times after that you use windows… me thinks not.
as long as they can keep you on that sugar trip down that rabbit hole, they really dont care whose hole it is (apple, hp, dell, home built) as long as you are their moolah providing bunny.
they are micro SOFT (as in software), and they intend on “ripping” ya dollas off’a you for as long as they can!! now who doesnt have a clue? its us.
of course if they were advertising xbox with a photo of PS3, we could laff at them.
